Since the pandemic, 70% say trusting a brand is more important today than in the past. ¾ of B2B organisations will also stay loyal due to brand trust – even if it’s more expensive than an alternative provider!

Obviously if you’ve had a fantastic experience with a client then trust is easy to build. But how can you build trust with a new prospect? Here are some of our top tips…

Build brand clarity and consistency

Be super clear on what your brand stands for and how you should convey your messages. Mixed messaging and muddled brands are a sure way to lose brand trust and memorability. Generate a compelling and differentiated brand value proposition and visual identity. Make your brand credible and consistently memorable for clients.

Map out your customer journey

As it takes 6-8 touchpoints to generate a viable sales lead – we’d recommend mapping out what those touchpoints with prospects will be. Have a plan in place according to what the different buying scenarios are and how your content varies based on this. We offer customer journey mapping workshops to help!

Consistently share quality content

Have a well thought out content marketing strategy and plan. How can you share your expertise and add value for your audience? When we first start working with clients, they often think they don’t have sufficient content to share. But all it takes is a short content workshop to get the ideas flowing and a plan on how content can be repurposed and used to the max!

Be personal

Digital marketing is a great way to reach your audience but with a lack of face-to-face meetings these days make sure you share your personality. Podcasts and videos are a great way of both conveying your knowledge and personality to build brand trust. LinkedIn is also fantastic for personally connecting and interacting with your specific target audience.

Get your clients involved

Ask clients to collaborate on video and written case studies. There’s nothing better than prospects hearing first-hand how you’ve helped solve their problem with another similar organisation!
